Initiative has appointed Luke O’Sullivan (right in photo) as strategy director for its expanding Western Australian operations. O’Sullivan is a Perth native and previous Campaign Brief Supernova who has spent the past five years working in senior media agency positions in the UK.
“We were looking for some special credentials in selecting the strategy director for Initiative Perth,” said Clive Bingwa (left in photo), managing director of IPG Mediabrands Perth. “Luke brings with him highly valuable and senior experience from the London market, combined with his knowledge of Perth and the Australia market. We’re thrilled he has accepted the position.”
Prior to his recent return to Perth, O’Sullivan was a business director at Vizeum in London where he was responsible for strategic planning, senior client relationships and agency team leadership across major clients including TSB, Auto Trader and Norwegian Air. His additional Vizeum client experience included BMW Mini Group, Carnival Cruise Group, Air New Zealand and Nestle.
Before Vizeum O’Sullivan worked at Carat in London on clients including Diageo and Britvic. He originally worked for Carat in Perth where his clients included Lotterywest, Tourism Western Australia, QBE Insurance and Fairfax.
“Having gained experience in London I recognise the world-class standards in our local industry,” said O’Sullivan. “I am stoked to be back home and with such a forward-thinking, innovative agency at Initiative. I can’t wait to re-connect with the local market and continue driving the great work the agency is producing.”
O’Sullivan starts at Initiative this week and his appointment follows news early this month that the agency has been reappointed by the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) for another four-year term.
