Kathmandu‘s new global brand campaign, ‘Outside, your comfort zone,’ offers a reminder to those who spend more time indoors than ever that outside can be as comforting as the couch, brought to life via Motion Sickness.
‘Outside, your comfort zone’ is running across New Zealand and Australian TV, Digital channels, OOH and in-store from now.
Shot throughout New Zealand’s Coromandel Peninsula with a local line-up, ‘Outside, your comfort zone’ reframes the outdoors as a place that feels like home. The films transport audiences into the small and quiet rituals of people in nature, and inspiring them to experience the comforts of outside for themselves.
“For us, the outdoors isn’t just about the strenuous climbs to the summit, or the battle with extreme environments. It’s about the small moments that bring stillness, grounding and revival. Everyone should experience this transformative power of nature,” Kathmandu general manager of marketing, Jo O’Sullivan said.
“Through Outside, your comfort zone, we hope to inspire our communities to reconnect with the outdoors, with gear not just designed to protect you from the elements, but to bring you closer to them, confidently and comfortably,” O’Sullivan added.
To give the film a distinctive tactile quality, the original digital footage was scanned onto 35mm film, and bespoke soundscapes were engineered for each scene to transport viewers deeper into the environment.
