Digital street furniture network JOLT has appointed John Chapman and Emily Changizi as group sales managers in Sydney, strengthening its national sales team as it continues to expand its digital out-of-home network.
Both will report to national sales director Tim Debenham and will be responsible for growing JOLT’s agency and direct client partnerships across its Australian network.
Chapman joins JOLT with more than seven years’ experience across out-of-home and digital advertising in Australia and the UK.
He began his career at OMD Sydney as a media executive, working across Sony Pictures and Apple, before joining JCDecaux as an account manager overseeing PHD and Hearts and Science accounts.
During his time at JCDecaux, Chapman worked on what the company described as Australia’s first electric vehicle airport activation, a media campaign for Audi.
He relocated to London in 2023 to join Global Media as an airport and international manager, later progressing to senior airports manager. In that role, he managed two of the business’ largest client portfolios and secured partnerships with EasyJet and Jet2.
At JOLT, Chapman will also bring a particular focus on the automotive category.
Changizi joins from REA Group, where she spent five years as senior account partner, leading multi-million-dollar agency partnerships across major holding groups and independent agencies.
She brings more than 12 years’ experience across marketing, advertising and business development, having previously held senior roles at Multi Channel Network and Big Mobile.
Changizi was an FY24 All Stars Award winner and a two-time B&T 30 Under 30 finalist. She is also a graduate of the IMAA’s Female Leaders of Tomorrow program and holds a Woman in Leadership qualification from the University of Sydney.
JOLT national sales director Debenham said the appointments would strengthen the company’s commercial capabilities as its network grows.
“John and Emily bring a wealth of strategic account leadership, strong agency relationships and a deep understanding of commercial growth to JOLT, making them fantastic additions to our growing sales team,” Debenham said.
“As JOLT continues to scale its national network, we’re focused on building a team that can unlock the full potential of our unique digital street furniture offering for advertisers and agencies.”
Chapman said JOLT’s street furniture network offered brands an opportunity to reach audiences in real-world environments, while Changizi said she would focus on building out the company’s agency and client relationships.
The appointments come as JOLT continues its international expansion. Following its recent US expansion, the company says it is now the world’s largest combined digital out-of-home and EV charging network.
Both appointments are effective immediately.
