Comedian Joel Creasey has taken a cheeky jab at former KIIS radio host Jackie “O” Henderson in a promotional video for his new national solo FM show.
In a parody video shared to The Joel Creasey Show Instagram page, as well as his own Instagram handle, the stand-up comedian alludes to the key moment in Henderson’s on-air spat with Kyle Sandilands.
Set to Andrew Gold’s Thank You for Being a Friend, the spot features the comedian being shot in different locations, sporting different outfits. This underscores that his new national radio show is a true solo venture, with Creasey fronting the mic entirely on his own, without a co-host.

But, social media users have picked up on his little swipe at Jackie O. “Brainstorming board had me howling,” one Instagram user write in the comment section of the post. “The astrology off the whiteboard! 😂” another user chimed in.
The scene these users are referring to is when the camera zooms into a white board where Creasy is planning content for his new show that launches on 20 April. Here, viewers see him cross out the word “astrology”.
This is followed by the camera zooming out to him siting in an empty boardroom—reinforcing that he is fronting the mic by himself.
To the untrained eye this may not mean anything. But, the argument that ultimately broke the camels back began with Sandilands’ criticism of Henderson’s obsession with astrology. This has ultimately led to both radio hosts being removed from air, and now suing ARN for how it handled the situation.
During the argument that occurred on 20 February, the shock jock claimed his co-host had been “off with the fairies” and was “almost unworkable”. This caused Henderson to storm off the set and now ultimately be in a $85 million dollar court battle with ARN.
Creasey’s brand new national show will first go live on 20 April. The show will be played during lunchtime on weekdays, where he is set to bring his signature quick wit, high energy and unmistakable flair to a fresh lunchtime audience.
“I’m doing a Ginger Spice and made the decision to go it solo! (I’ve waited over 20 years to say that!). Scintillating references like that and oh-so-very-much-more you can expect from The Joel Creasey Show launching Australia-wide across the Nova Network! It’s been an utter joy to be a member of the national Drive program for the past five years, and an honour to play a part in such a legacy show,” said Creasy about the announcement of his solo show.
