Ideas Should Spark Action: Pinterest Previews The Week To Come In Cairns

We’re back at Cairns for another week of creative ambition, bold thinking and meaningful connection. As the presenting partner of Cairns Crocodiles 2026, Pinterest will be on the ground all week championing inspiration that moves people to action.

Day one will set the tone with a focus on authenticity, self-expression and ideas you can take into the real world.

The conference will open with a Crocs-style welcome from Pinterest managing director Melinda Petrunoff, followed by a conversation with ultramarathoner and 2026 Young Australian of the Year Nedd Brockmann.

Together they will unpack determination, integrity, authenticity—and what it takes to keep showing up when motivation fades.

On the ground, our Pinterest Hub will officially open as one of the busiest stops of the program. A living, breathing Pinterest board, the space will invite delegates to explore trends hands-on. Guests can get a free fine line tattoo at the Pinterest Tattoo Parlour, personalise a pouch at the Pinterest Predicts Patch Studio and take connection offline at our Pinterest Post.

At Discover Yourself, guests will receive a personal style reading and the chance to enter the draw for prizes. Each touchpoint brings to life what Pinterest does best: helping people move from inspiration to intention.

For brands, that intention matters. Pinterest is where people come with purpose—often well before a purchase. When marketers show up in those early planning windows, they can influence decisions before demand is declared, earn attention without interrupting it and connect creativity to commercial impact.

Day one will wrap with an Extra Celestial Pinterest Welcome Party, with intergalactic shine, sparkles and a room of marketers leaning into play.

Day two will build on that momentum with a keynote from Pinterest VP of Global Creative, Xanthe Wells: Design the Exit: How Brands Can Win by Getting People to Go Do Something. In a world where most platforms are engineered to keep people scrolling, Wells will make the case for designing for real-world action.

We’ll also be bringing the conversation to Hemingway’s with our panel, Win Before They Want: Designing Earlier Demand. The session will explore a shift marketers are feeling in real time: when intent is shaped before the search bar, how do brands show up earlier, influence consideration sooner and move from competing for demand to designing it before it’s declared?

That’s what you can look forward to at Cairns this year: ideas not just meant to be seen, but to spark action.

Want to go deeper? Connect with the Pinterest team on-site to learn more about how we’re helping brands turn inspiration into measurable impact—from trend insights and audience planning to creative best practices and full-funnel solutions. Come say hello in Cairns, or reach out to your Pinterest partner to set up time with us.
