The results of heaven agency’s Web3 Culture study are out, with a focus on the practices and expectations of Gen Z.
With the recent innovations of cryptocurrencies, NFTs, metaverses and more, it is clear that the digital landscape is undergoing something of a transformation at present.
To help people understand this, heaven agency carried out a study regarding Web3, using a population of 18-25 year olds to narrow down the information.
The study found that many young people are aware of the terminology involved in Web3, but not the term itself, with 67 per cent of respondents saying the know crypto currencies but only 10 per cent knowing Web3.
It also confirms that NFTs are still rarely owned but are clearly desirable, as 50 per cent of the respondents said they plan to buy an NFT.
Of the promises surrounding Web3, the priority amongst young people appears to be personal data control, with 83 per cent of respondents saying they would like to have the possibility to manage their personal data more easily.
This study is part of the continuity of heaven’s mission, which is to connect brands to the communities and conversations that are born and live on the Web.
