Tim Snape, chief brand officer of non-alcoholic beer brand Heaps Normal, has departed the company after five years.
Snape joined Heaps Normal from Mirvac, where he was its national manager of digital strategy.
He described his time at Heaps Normal as “the most challenging and incredible job I’ve ever had”.
“We’ve grown this business into a juggernaut and in the process started a record label, told the world (through the inimitable voice of Donny Benet) that water sucks (it does), supported almost a thousand community and music events, released a couple of music videos, a lot of beers and now a wine, purchased and given away a Jetski and a beautiful yellow 1991 Toyota Camry, opened a 300 cap music venue, launched a 14 page newspaper, developed some amazing friends of the brand ( 👼 ) and made lots of fun stuff with them, and probably a bunch of other stuff that I can’t remember,” he posted on LinkedIn.
Heaps Normal has, as Snape assessed, become a juggernaut of a business during Snape’s time with the brand. According to his former colleague and head of sales Johnny Tostevin, the brands has “more than doubled” its sales over the past four years. It is now valued at more than $60 million, too.
He said he is “not really” looking for a full time role at the moment but he is looking to spend more time with his one-year-old and put more energy into his “fledgling” car import business, Private Idaho. Snape confirmed he will continue to grow his beard.
