Guy Rintoul

Digital marketing agency shout has hired Guy Rintoul as its new head of growth.

Taking over from previous business development lead, Matilda Toepfer, Rintoul steps into the gig following five years as head of growth at First Page where he drove acquisition and built high-performing client engagement teams. Before that he was in s similar role at 23 Digital after beginning his digital marketing career at Sites and Stores.

“What attracted me to this job is Shout’s depth of senior expertise across the entire digital spectrum, which presented to me as the ideal platform from which I can initiate rapid growth and continue to lead with guaranteed performance targets,” said Rintoul.

“The average tenure of experience within our team is around 15 years. Everyone knows what they’re doing, they’ve seen it all, are great at their jobs and secure in their roles and can provide sustained reliable counsel.

“I see my role as part analyst, part strategist and part sales director. Following initial needs assessment I can onboard an array of clients – both in size and sector – confident in which of Shout’s services and expertise they will substantially benefit from.

“For example, AI search optimisation is the big thing right now. But in this economy some brands or organisations will still benefit most from an improved paid strategy that can move their sales needle immediately while we work to improve their broader search visibility.”

Rintoul said the agency seeks new business from businesses of all size – noting that SMEs are often the most vulnerable to bad advice and can benefit most significantly from the senior-level marketing support Shout provides across its entire team.

“From regional family-owned operations to international enterprise business – each client begins their journey at Shout with an in-depth analysis to tailor their digital marketing strategy. We have both the scale and expertise to partner with the big players, as well as the ability to translate and scale that knowledge to benefit smaller operations,” he added.

The national digital growth agency – which was founded in 2010 by CEO, Michael Jenkins, has maintained a steady staff and client roster in an environment where the introduction of AI and challenging market forces have proved favourable for independents.

“We’re strategically strong, already lean in structure, and ready for all the tricks and turns the online visibility landscape has in front of us. This confidence has enabled us to double down on offering performance-based guarantees for clients based on their bespoke needs,” said Jenkins.

“This is Guy’s wheelhouse. He’s all about transparent, open conversations about what will and won’t get results for a business. It these incredibly lean times this is exactly the kind of growth leader I need to ensure our business continues to expand through the sheer proven value it provides others.”
