Founded by Gucci in 2013, ‘Chime for Change’ is a global campaign to convene, unite and strengthen the voices speaking out for gender equality, and has raised over $15 million to help fund 430 projects in 89 different countries, supporting more than 570,000 women and girls globally.
This year, the aim was to encourage women, girls and young people around the world to share their dreams and visions for the future: #LetGirlsDream helps bring this aim to life, in coordination with the animated short film SITARA (“star”) made by Academy Award winning director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
LOW, a division of The Big Now (part of Dentsu Aegis Network), created an immersive digital experience for Chime for Change inspired by the short film. On letgirlsdream.org, each dream is written on a paper airplane which flies away and transforms into a star, becoming part of an explorable and ever-expanding sky.
For every star there is a woman or girl, and for every woman or girl, a dream that she is not afraid to express.
