The Australian Government is on the hunt for a strategic communications agency to support the first phase of its High Speed Rail infrastructure project.
The $55 billion rail link will connect Newcastle to Sydney with trains travelling up to 320km/h and is part of a broader infrastructure project that could extend from Canberra to Brisbane.
Last week, the Government released a tender seeking a communications agency with “significant infrastructure or major project experience to support its communication and engagement activities”.
The two-year project brief includes specialist support across communications, engagement, digital and creative services, with an option to extend the brief by six months subject to performance.
The successful agency will work with the High Speed Rail Authority’s corporate affairs, communication and engagement team.
The successful agency will need to provide video and film production capability through either in-house resources or approved subcontractors. These services will be delivered on an as-needs basis via an agreed rate card, including photography, filming, editing, animation, drone capture, content development and multi-channel formatting.
According to the tender document, key deliverables will include:
Updated branding, style guide, templates and decals for office and information centre fit-outs.
Development of images, animations, videos and artist impressions.
Development of all project collateral to support industry, stakeholder and community engagement.
Presentation material for speaking engagements, including major conferences, events and briefings in Australia and overseas.
Coordination of local, national and international events and activations.
HSRA’s digital platforms.
Graphic design of all HSRA publications including annual reports, corporate plans, environmental and planning documents.
