Georgie Tunny Lands Career-Making Gig At 10’s The Project

Journo Georgia Tunny is now joining 10’s The Project full-time.

The journalist and talent was filling in during Carrie Bickmore’s absence. However, now she’s joining the panel full-time.

Network 10 spokesperson told B&T: “The Project is excited to announce that broadcaster Georgie Tunny is joining the show in a permanent role.

“Georgie has done an exceptional job keeping the seat warm for Carrie while she took long service leave, and quickly became a loved and respected member of The Project team.

“In her new role, Georgie will be on the ground producing and reporting the biggest news stories of the day alongside hosting duties when needed.  We look forward to Georgie starting her new role next month.”

Naturally, with Tunny securing a place on the team. Rumours will swirl that Bickmore or Lisa Wilkinson will be leaving. Probably because our industry loves to pretend a young woman is always arriving to replace an older woman.

However, Tunny’s role extends behind the scenes, so everyone is staying put! At least as far as B&T knows.

Fabulous news for Tunny, also a fun fact she’s dating former Australian Idol contestant and performer Rob Mills.
