Independent digital agency, Frank Digital has been awarded the design and development of FedSquare.com – a new website for Melbourne’s Federation Square.
The FedSquare.com website will feature advanced search functionality and an integrated content management system. Having designed and developed the soon-to-be-launched ‘What’s On’ website for City of Sydney, Frank Digital brings proven expertise in creating high-end user centric, content-driven sites.
“We’re proud to have this opportunity to showcase Federation Square and highlight such an iconic Melbourne landmark,” says Matt Barbelli, creative director at Frank Digital. “With a sleek user experience and mobile-first design, the site will allow people to see what’s on and find event details – anytime, anywhere – even while checking their phone on the tram.”
Federation Square is home to hundreds of events each year, attracting millions of tourists and local visitors. It’s internationally recognised as one of the world’s greatest public spaces, with an array of food festivals, live music and art exhibitions.
“Federation Square is the heart and soul of Melbourne,” says Jane Sydenham-Clarke, Fed Square marketing and program Manager. “We’re pleased to appoint Frank Digital, and look forward to creating a site that will enable even more people to discover and experience this vibrant public space.”
The win caps off a successful quarter for the digital agency’s Melbourne office, who recently picked up a CSS Design Award and W3 Gold Award for their ‘A Life Less Ordinary’ campaign for Australian Catholic University (ACU).
