Vogue Living acting editor-in-chief Edwina McCann today announced the November/ December 2017 issue of the magazine is guest edited by Collette Dinnigan. The special collector’s issue is on sale today across the country.
One of the country’s most successful and celebrated fashion and interior designers, Dinnigan chose Italy as the theme and directed every aspect of the issue. She also features on the cover.
McCann said: “There are guest editors – and then there is Collette Dinnigan. With no former magazine publishing experience, she oversaw every detail of this issue. She did the jobs of many editors, obtaining exclusive access to properties and styling the Inspire pages. She also pored over every page until it went to print. Collette was absolutely committed to the project and brought her exceptional taste, eye for detail and hard-work ethic to it. I know people will love and treasure this special collector’s issue as much as we do.”
The issue combines Dinnigan’s two passions: Italy and interiors. McCann invited Dinnigan to guest-edit the magazine and capture the Italy she had experienced while living in Rome with her family the year before, through the beautiful interiors of the homes of her friends and her and her husband Bradley Cocks’ in-depth, in-the-know knowledge of travel.
Guest editor Collette Dinnigan said: “Vogue Living is such an iconic brand. It resonates with people all over the world, and as Australians we should be very proud. It was an honour to be invited to guest-edit this issue and to create original work with Felix Forest, who photographed all of the beautiful images you’ll see throughout the magazine.
“My whole journey in the issue is about creating spaces and gathering ideas for using colour, mixing prints, celebrating the old and the new. I have great passion for interiors, furnishings, fabric, travel, food and lifestyle, and I hope readers get as much inspiration from this special issue of Vogue Living as I did creating it.”
