US Family Feud has taken an altogether un-family turn after a contestant answered a question with the rather contentious “cut his penis off”.
Host Steve Harvey was left gobsmacked during a “celebrity” version of the show yesterday that featured actor Sherri Shepherd pitted against former Beverly Hills 90210 star, Ian Ziering.
Harvey asked the question: “Name something a lady cop might do to her husband in the bedroom?” To which Shepherd replied: “Cut his penis off!”
Thankfully for Shepherd, her fellow contestants and the audience laughed-off the absurd answer.
Harvey then joked: “Sherri, listen to me. This thing we’re doing, this is a game show. This isn’t therapy. You know, you’re not supposed to be up here to get your innermost thoughts.”
Shepherd later tweeted that she’d been “so nervous” during the show and had meant the answer as “fun” and something to make “people laugh”.
