Thinkerbell’s national head media thinker, Kathryn Furnani, has expressed the creative agency’s reaction to taking home not one but two Golds at the recent Cairns Crocodiles Awards.
The agency’s award haul at the festival included Gold for Menulog’s ‘The Last Order’ in the AI Innovation Campaign category and Gold for TAC’s ‘Australia’s Deadliest Predator’ in the Radio & Audio Craft category.
‘The Last Order’ served as an AI Innovation campaign that featured hundreds of hyper-localised, postcode-specific advertisements. Built alongside production partners like Heckler, it created tailor-made video and audio assets designed to hero local Australian food spots and restaurants rather than just featuring massive celebrity budgets.
Meanwhile, the ‘Australia’s Deadliest Predator’ was designed to weaponise primal fear to recalibrate how Australians view the dangers of speeding.
By directly comparing the low death tolls from native wildlife to the hundreds of fatalities caused by speeding cars, the campaign used behavioural science to attack the casual mentality that driving “just a little bit over the limit” is harmless.
“I wasn’t part of the work, but I work at the fabulous agency that does brilliant work,” Furnani told B&T following the wins.
“This is awesome recognition for everyone back in the agency doing that brilliant work.”
She admitted the agency are “really grateful” for both wins.
“I think everyone is really, really stoked to be part of such a great event and the recognition is awesome.”
