Ex-AKQA Boss Brian Vella Launches GolfLoot

Former APAC CEO of AKQA Brian Vella has teed up his next career move, unveiling GolfLoot. After more than 20 years in agency land and the last eight years with AKQA, Vella has opened up about his “exciting next chapter!”

GolfLoot is a membership-based rewards platform built specifically for golfers.

Members get access to two things. First, partner led deals and offers from clubs, ranges, retailers and golf brands. The stuff they want or need everyday. Secondly, members enter into weekly and major prize draws for gear and bucket-list golf experiences, from premium equipment through to iconic trips like major championships and destination golf, such as King Island.

Clubs, ranges and retailers share in the upside too, receiving a recurring revenue share when their golfers join, so it supports the grassroots of the game too.

“We wanted to build something that turns everyday golf into rewards and access to the trips most golfers dream about. At the same time, we’re returning value to clubs, ranges and retailers, the places that make the game possible. We’re building the loyalty layer for the golf ecosystem,” Vella told B&T.
