Australia’s pioneering finance and investing media network for young Australians, Equity Mates Media, today announces You’re In Good Company, a new podcast aimed at breaking down the alarming gender investing gap.
For too long, the finance industry has been a boys club. In Australia only 18 per cent of active online retail investors are women. The results of this gap are meaningful, with women on average retiring with 47 per cent less in retirement savings than men.
In You’re In Good Company presenters Maddy Guest and Sophie Dicker provide simple and informative investing resources and advice in hope of encouraging more women to explore the stock market. Each week, the hosts will interview thought-provoking experts to help listeners navigate the stock market before they take the plunge.
In 2017 Bryce Leske and Alec Renehan launched the Equity Mates Investing Podcast after developing a passion for the stock market at university. Upon launching they set out with the hope of providing young Australians with approachable finance and investing advice. Since then the Equity Mates Media network has evolved to include five podcasts and a website which serves as a manual for young investors with every level of financial literacy.
