Emma Freedman is returning to Channel Nine just over a year after her shock dismissal from the network.
The former Weekend Today weather presenter and Wide World of Sports regular guest got the sack from Channel Nine during a series of cost-cutting manouveres from the network in December 2014.
The 26-year-old is returning to both the Wide World of Sports and her hosting gig on Sunday mornings, and took to Twitter to announce her return.
In some news… I’m excited to be rejoining the team at @WWOS9 & am looking forward to being back hosting on Sunday mornings with the team

She was devastated when she was given the chop, and told news.com.au that she “cried all day”, before telling herself to “just harden the fuck up”.
Since the dumping from Channel Nine, Freedman defected to Channel Seven for a stint on Dancing with the Stars and appeared as a guest host on Ten’s Studio 10, as well as snagging a radio gig with Jules Lund on the Today network, among other hosting spots.
