Dentsu Aegis Network Launches Amplifi In New Zealand & Appoints Head of Amplifi NZ
Dentsu Aegis Network is pleased to announce the expansion of its global media investment arm, Amplifi, into the New Zealand market.
Leading the New Zealand branch will be Richard Pook, who has been appointed to the newly created role of Head of Amplifi, commencing 13 February. Pook will lead all investment and local and global media partnerships for the New Zealand group.
Chief Executive Officer of Dentsu Aegis Network New Zealand Robert Harvey said, “I’m thrilled to have secured someone of Richard’s calibre to lead the launch of Amplifi in New Zealand.”
“I’m confident that the roll-out of Amplifi in New Zealand, combined with Richard’s unique combination of commercial and digital experience, will truly set us apart from legacy trading models and deliver a demonstrable uplift in media innovation and performance for our clients.”
Richard joins Amplifi from global Digital Media and Ad Technology company, Exponential, where he was the EMEA Managing Director and VP Finance, based in Switzerland.
Prior to this Richard held senior commercial roles within digital media and technology companies including Yahoo, British Telecom, Optus, and Telstra.
“I’m excited to be joining Rob’s team to lead Amplifi in New Zealand. I look forward to drawing on my experience to build innovative and valuable partnerships with media owners and to enhance results for our clients.”
Amplifi is the Dentsu Aegis Network’s media investment arm, with the goal of identifying opportunities presented by convergence and globalisation to deliver a value proposition that works for clients and media owners.
Amplifi’s New Zealand launch will add to the brand’s global footprint of 30 locations worldwide and over 3,500 specialist staff.
