As well as being a star in Bay Watch, over the years, David Hasselhoff has proven he’s not afraid to appear in the odd commercial or two (or 12).
Late last year he played a starring role in an ad for US internet TV service Pluto TV, in which he played a total of nine roles in a rather ridiculous infomercial.
But his latest work for South African chicken chain Chicken Licken might be his most bonkers yet.
The Hoff reprises his famous Knight Rider series for the spot, which shows ‘Michael Nyathi’ – not to be confused with Michael Knight – driving a replica of Hasselhof’s black KITT car from the show.
A relaxing cruise soon turns into a spot of drag racing and driving off, before ultimately ending up at a Chicken Licken store.
Hasselhoff only makes a rather brief appearance at the end of the film, via a small screen in the car.

And while the ad is being lauded for creating something that is nostalgic with a modern twist, it turns out it is not the first time The Hoff has reprised Knight Rider for a commercial.
In 2019, he leveraged his huge German fanbase to create an even stranger campaign for mobile.de.
