Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the Seven Network’s digital streaming platform 7plus will host the FAST channel Cricket Gold featuring some of the game’s greatest matches and most iconic players.

Cricket Gold draws on CA’s vast video archives to provide extensive coverage of the memorable encounters between the global superstars who entertained generations of fans and helped shape the modern game.

Cricket Gold joins 7plus as the Seven Network prepares to broadcast an epic Australian summer of cricket, including the Ashes, a women’s multiformat series against India and the Big Bash League and Women’s Big Bash Leagues.

As well as these brilliant contemporary battles, 7plus viewers will now have constant access to the Cricket Gold extensive catalogue of matches and documentaries, with more content to come.

CA’s archive is the most extensive in world cricket and CA has invested heavily in digitising, preserving and cataloguing video to enhance fan access and celebrate the game’s rich history.

7plus is the leading platform of FAST channels in Australia, with more than 50 channels and a strong focus on Australian programming, creating perfect alignment with the hosting of Cricket Gold.

Cricket Gold launches on 7plus on Sunday, 12 October 2025.

Richard Ostroff, CA head of broadcast and production said: “We’re delighted Cricket Gold will appear on 7plus showcasing our extensive archives on a platform with fantastic existing reach to cricket fans.

“This summer 7plus viewers can enjoy the very best of cricket with the NRMA Insurance Ashes series, the women’s multiformat series against India and the BBL and WBBL, which will now be complemented with constant access to some of the greatest matches and players in history on Cricket Gold.

“Cricket Gold is the result of CA’s heavy investment in digitising and cataloguing our precious archival footage and we’re pleased it is now going to be even more accessible to so many cricket fans as we celebrate our game’s rich heritage.”

Joel Starcevic, Seven Network head of Cricket said: “As we inch closer to what is expected to be Seven’s greatest Summer of Cricket yet, there’s no better way to celebrate than tuning into Cricket Gold on 7plus.

“With a channel dedicated to constant archival cricket content from unforgettable Ashes battles, to iconic Big Bash moments, fans can now relive the greatest games of all time anytime, anywhere on 7plus.

“Seven and 7plus continues to be the Home of Sport in Australia and the addition of Cricket Gold strengthens our already impressive sport line up and supports our valued partnership with Cricket Australia in an innovative and exciting way.”
