Compass Studio has been appointed as the Australian PR agency for 1% for the Planet, a global movement of businesses certified for their annual commitment of 1 per cent of sales to vetted environmental solutions.
This follows the success of Compass Studio’s digital campaign last year, which significantly boosted brand recognition, visibility, and consumer engagement across Australia and New Zealand.
“In an era of increased scepticism of certification and claims, 1% for the Planet is an antidote to that. It’s indisputable evidence of businesses putting their money where their mouth is to directly contribute to local and grassroots not-for-profits,” said Natalie Dean-Weymark, co-founder and co-director of Compass Studio.
“1% isn’t about egos or badges, it’s about members actually wanting to create meaningful change and action for those causes, doing the work on the ground. We are so proud to partner with 1% for the Planet again to help raise even more awareness of this incredible business community within Australia. We want consumers to see 1% as the marker of a good business for them to support”.
Compass Studio’s ongoing work highlights how certification programs can deliver measurable impact and build trust in a marketplace increasingly wary of greenwashing.
“Australia is already home to so many 1% for the Planet brands people know and love, and is a global leader in our movement. Partnering with Compass Studio is a sign of our commitment to this region and our belief in its power to set the pace for environmental commitment worldwide,” said Chelsey Sleznikow, 1% for the Planet’s director of business development.
Since its founding in 2002, 1% for the Planet has certified over $780 million in giving to vetted environmental organisations globally – proving that collective business action drives real change.
Compass Studio is also a partner of 1% of the Planet.
