Cirrus Media is moving relatively quickly to bolster its capacity in the events and conferencing space with the announcement that they have appointed Andrew Jensen to head a single events group for the company which will combine the forces of its recent acquisition FST Media and its existing Cirrus Events Group.
Andrew is somewhat of a big hitter in the conferencing space, having held senior management roles in IQPC and Marcus Evans in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany and APAC. His most recent role was as MD of the Alphabet Media group in Australia, which, like FST, targets the fast emerging customer experience technology space. Commenting on the move Cirrus CEO, Jeremy Knibbs said: “ Andrew is one best talents in the country, having worked with the best global groups and built businesses for them overseas. He also brings a deep knowledge of the customer experience tech space, where FST is also strong, and where we intend to grow significantly over the coming years.”
Andrew will work very closely with Angela Horvat and John Todd, who were the founders of FST and who hold shares in Cirrus Media. Ben Eatwell, who heads the Cirrus Events group will report to Jenson and Jason Hulme, who was the General Manager of FST will be leaving the company.
