Wellbeing brand Bio Organics’ latest TVC, set to hit screens for the upcoming Ashes series, features two of crickets most respected players; former West Indies captain Sir Vivian Richards ‘the master blaster’ and former Australian great, fast bowler Dennis Lillee.
The set of the TVC was the first time these two former rivals have spoken since a rift erupted between them in 2003 on the eve of the third Test in Barbados.
The commercial is the latest work from Chemist Warehouses’ long-term agency Quattro Group.
“We were thrilled to be able to secure what essentially is cricket royalty for this campaign,” said Mario Tascone chief operating officer of Chemist Warehouse Group. “Bringing Viv and Dennis together was certainly a highlight. Who could ever forget that final ball of the opening day boxing day test match some 25 years ago, when these two legends went head to head resulting in one of the most memorable moments ever seen in cricket history. And, to have them face off again in the aisle of a Chemist Warehouse store was quite special.”

It’s been the first TVC offering for Bio Organics for some years. “Working with these luminaries was a genuine pleasure and we’re delighted with the result” said Lauren Hunter, Bio Organics brand manager.

The TVC promotes Bio Organics Glucosamine and Chondroitin Tablets that are sold in over 300 Chemist Warehouse stores nationally. The dual action formula assists in the management of osteoarthritis by temporarily relieving joint pain and reducing inflammation, thus improving joint mobility.
The TVC is set to air on all major networks from June 29 to coincide with the Ashes series.
