Canon Oceania has launched ‘A Different Lens’, a new podcast celebrating the people and stories shaping Australia and New Zealand’s photography and filmmaking community.
The series will explore the creative process, career-defining moments and evolving craft of visual storytellers. The podcast will premiere with fitness, automotive and lifestyle filmmaker and photographer Josh Hilliam.
It is hosted by Canon ambassadors Wil Calabio, a Sydney-based content creator and photographer and Kate Cornish, award-winning cinematographer whose credits. The series brings together distinct perspectives on modern visual storytelling.
Calabio and Cornish explore the creative decisions, challenges and defining moments that shape careers behind the lens.
‘A Different Lens’ aims to create space for deeper conversations about creativity, careers and craft, offering practical insights, career advice and honest reflections to help the next generation navigate the industry.
“At Canon, we’ve always believed that powerful stories begin with people who are driven to create something meaningful. Every creator starts with an idea, but turning that idea into something more takes determination, curiosity and a willingness to keep learning,” said Canon Oceania senior general manager of consumer sales and marketing, Aaron Berthelot.
“The series shares the honest lessons and experiences behind successful creative careers to inspire the next generation to pursue their own ambitions with confidence.”
The first episode of A Different Lens, featuring Hilliam, is available now on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, with new episodes released fortnightly from 7am (AEST) on Wednesdays.
