The Ad Council’s Cannes Download will return in August, to look inside this year’s Festival of Creativity through the insights of Cannes Lions jurors and creative leaders including Brent Smart, Rose Herceg, Clare Pickens, Micah Walker and Sam Stuchbury.
Touring Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth from 12 August to 1 September, the national roadshow brings the world’s best creative work to the big screen through an exclusive 60-minute reel curated by Micah Walker, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Bear Meets Eagle On Fire, and 2026 Cannes Lions Film Juror.
Each screening will conclude with a live discussion featuring Cannes judges offering audience insight into the jury room, the campaigns that sparked debate and ideas shaping global creativity.
“The work is inspiring, but the real value comes from understanding why it won. Cannes Download brings those conversations home, giving Australia’s creative community a rare insight into what resonated with juries and where global creativity is headed,” said Advertising Council Australia CEO Tony Hale.
The Sydney panelists will include Brent Smart founder of B.Smart (moderator and 2026 Creative Effectiveness juror), Micah Walker founder and CCO of Bear Meets Eagle On Fire (Film), Pip Smart executive producer and partner at Revolver (Film Craft), Clare Pickens CEO of Leo Australia (Creative Business Transformation), Sam Stuchbury the founder and ECD at Motion Sickness, New Zealand (Creative B2B)
Melbourne panellists will include Clare Pickens, Rob Galluzzo the CEO of FINCH (Sustainable Development Goals), Rose Herceg the CEO of WPP ANZ (Creative Brand), Ben Miles the chief design officer at R/GA APAC (Design), Amy Weston ECD at Clemenger BBDO (Brand Experience & Activation)
Speakers for Adelaide, Brisbane, and Perth will be shared with attendees closer to each event.
