Music and band website Vevo has scored New Zealand synth-pop duo, Broods, as the next artist to feature in its LIFT initiative celebrating fresh musical talent.
Continuing its partnership with Ford, Vevo LIFT will uncover the story of the band’s journey so far, its personalities and its music as it prepares to begin its national ‘Evergreen tour’ this month.
Vevo LIFT, featuring Broods, commences mid-December and continues for two months, giving Vevo’s 3.6 million Australian and New Zealand viewers’ exclusive content and a deeper insight into Broods, their music and who they are. As part of the program, Broods will perform an intimate live show at The Standard on Monday, 24th November.
In 2013 Vevo LIFT and Ford lifted pop punk band Tonight Alive and indie singer-songwriter Gossling. The series has previously been a launch-pad for a number of chart-topping acts including Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, 5 Seconds of Summer, Labrinth and Tinie Tempah, averaging around 70 million viewers.
Ford’s partnership with Vevo LIFT is part of its wider support of the music industry and musicians. The Vevo LIFT programme encapsulates Ford’s “Go Further” proposition by supporting artists who are helping to grow and evolve the world of music in new ways. Importantly, Vevo LIFT is the perfect opportunity for Ford to celebrate the pioneering spirit in music.
Sam Thompson, broadcast director at Authentic Entertainment, who represents Vevo exclusively in Australia and New Zealand said, “Vevo LIFT champions artists, unveils their stories, connects them with new audiences and provides inspiration to existing ones. In this series, Vevo LIFT will celebrate Broods with Authentic Entertainment producing four premium content stories exclusive to Vevo – ‘Vevo Stylised’, ‘Getting to Know’, ‘Postcodes’ and an intimate live showcase. Ford continues its support of Vevo LIFT for another year, partnering with Vevo and Authentic Entertainment, reinforcing their mission to champion the reinvention of music”.
General manager of marketing for Ford Australia, David Katic adds: “Our partnership with Vevo LIFT has provided us a great opportunity to support emerging local and international talent. There has been a fantastic response to the unique content created for the program so far and we anticipate some brilliant content to be produced with Broods over the next eight weeks.”
