On Friday night, B&T welcomed our industry’s most eminent thinkers, strategists and creatives together in one room at the B&T Awards. It was a special (ahem) night, one where we were honoured to celebrate so many incredible people. The B&T Awards, if anything, is a reminder of the passion and dedication that our industry is built on. In its wake, we’ll walk you through each of our winners to let them bask in their glory for a little longer. First up, of course, is our Grand Prix winner–Special!
Special took home Agency of the Year and eight other categories: five for its campaign work (two of which in partnership with indie media agency Hatched) and three Agency of the Year trophies, including the always hotly contested NSW Agency of the Year, the similarly sought after Independent Agency with More Than 50 Employees and the Advertising Agency of the Year trophies. That would’ve been a heavy bag to carry around all night, indeed.
Read about the other winners here, and see what Special had to say after its Grand Prix win below.
Special was recognised for its work across clients including HBO Max, Bonds, Origin Energy, Coopers, Cricket Australia, Kitchen Warehouse, ANZ and Smiths. Its ‘Get Almost, Almost Anything’ brand platform for Uber has become a global sensation, tapping celebrities as big as Cher and Kris and Kendall Jenner–and let’s not forget the ad that changed everything, Bonds’ launch in the US, ‘Made For Down Under,’ with Robert Irwin!
Special by name, Special by nature–we’ll keep the gag going for as long as we can, yes, but seriously, this agency is on a roll and we can’t wait to see what it does next! The last 12 months have been nothing short of remarkable for the New Zealand-born but world-conquering agency.
