Digital-first brand agency Type + Pixel has appointed Eddie Coghlan to the role of art director.
As creative lead, Coghlan (pictured) will drive the Brisbane agency’s creative direction, collaborating closely with both the digital and strategy teams to deliver digital-led brands, campaigns and experiences.
His appointment follows a number of new client wins including projects for national furniture retailer Beds n Dreams, global scheduling platform Skedulo and the Reese Group.
A past Victorian AWARD School winner, Coghlan joins the team from Proximity Worldwide in Düsseldorf where he worked on the Porsche account. His experience includes stints at Clemenger BBDO, SDWM and McCann in Melbourne where he produced work for NAB, Mars, Carlton & United Breweries and Maybelline New York.
Type + Pixel co-founder, Darren Walls, said: “Landing Eddie is a real coup for us and his considerable experience in above-the-line campaign work as well as brand design is already proving a massive asset. Brisbane’s creative industry continues to punch well above its weight so it’s great to see our city attracting such top tier talent.”
Of his appointment, Coghlan said: “Type + Pixel have become known locally for their innovative approach to digital and brand so I’m looking forward to adding my own perspective to the mix.”
Type + Pixel has also added a new digital project manager to their team with the appointment of Sarah Phipps.
Experienced in e-commerce and branding, Phipps will be responsible for managing the design and build of digital experiences for ongoing clients Baskin-Robbins, Microba and Inner Health, as well as the redesign of Beds n Dreams’ ecommerce site.
