Bolster Group has appointed Jimmy Dau as its head of media.
Dau has over 20 years of experience across agencies and media and will lead Bolster’s team of media specialists, having most recently served as programmatic growth lead at News Corp Australia.
Dau’s career spans agency networks, including Carat and Bohemia Group. As Bohemia’s head of investment, he contributed to securing client wins such as Kraft Heinz and Australian Retirement Trust.
Bolster Group celebrated its 10th birthday and announced an investment from Anthem Group, the holding company behind global advisory and marketing consultancy Anthem.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jimmy to Bolster Group during this exciting period of growth. Jimmy possesses a rare skill set encompassing client management, negotiations, ad-tech, and data expertise that perfectly aligns with our entertainment and culture clients’ increasingly sophisticated media needs,” CEO James Clarke said.
“Research shows that entertainment creates shared cultural moments that bring communities together. Rather than just promoting events, Bolster works with brands that craft these collective experiences. Whether it’s a music festival, theatre production, or food and wine celebration, these moments create genuine cultural connection and belonging,” Dau added.
The appointment follows Bolster Group’s recent client wins including Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, Melbourne Theatre Company, Perth Festival, and Carriageworks.
Headquartered in Melbourne, Bolster Group employs over 60 specialists across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Darwin, with clients spanning Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia and the United States.
