Australia’s viral comedy duo Jack Steele and Matt Ford are making a long-awaited return to podcasting, relaunching The Inspired Unemployed under a new partnership with LiSTNR after a two-year hiatus.
The pair, who have built a massive following off the back of their hilarious social skits and videos, will drop the first episode of the revived show today – fittingly on April Fools’ Day.

Since first breaking out in 2019, the duo have become two of Australia’s most recognisable digital creators, amassing more than 4.2 million followers across Instagram and TikTok. Their rise has been fuelled by highly shareable, often absurd skits poking fun at everyday Aussie life, content that has cemented them as social media heavyweights and attracted a slate of major brand partnerships spanning fashion, travel, alcohol, fragrances, and hit TV shows.
The new podcast season will open with a recap of their past two years, alongside guest appearances from Hamish Blake, Jack Archdale and content creator Will Gibb, as well as the return of longtime producer Sarah-Jane Adams.
Fan-favourite segment “rattled” – where Jack and Falcon share their most chaotic and embarrassing moments, from pocket-dialling exes to nude modelling mishaps at Bachelorette parties – will also return.
Matt ‘Falcon’ Ford said: “We always said we’d come back and we’re men of our word. We’ve dusted off the old podcast and fired the engines back up. Now we’re hitting refresh with an incredible team at LiSTNR, and we’re bloody excited to be back with our community.”
“We’ve listened to our Instagram comment section – notoriously a good idea – and finally brought the pod back,” Jack Steele added.
“Over the past two years we’ve embraced the unexpected, and we’re going to catch everyone up on our ridiculous adventures. LiSTNR always looked like a great home that was well-furnished… and the couches looked comfy, so of course, we had to come sit on them.”
The LiSTNR deal signals a broader push into video, with full episodes available on YouTube, giving their deeply loyal fanbase a new way to engage and ensuring fans never miss a moment.
LiSTNR’s Head of Content, Sam Cavanagh, said: “Jack and Falcon have built one of the most loyal and engaged audiences in the country. They are a perfect fit for LiSTNR, and we’re thrilled to bring their podcast to the platform.”
Bringing their signature humour, chaos, and authenticity to an even wider audience, Steele and Falcon are officially back, bigger and better than ever, with the partnership also unlocking new commercial opportunities through LiSTNR’s world-class AdTech Hub.
The podcast launches today with new episodes published every Wednesday on the free LiSTNR app.
