Binge Extends NBCUniversal Deal In Major 2028 Content Push

Binge has extended its long-term partnership with global entertainment studio NBCUniversal (NBCU), securing an expanded slate of TV, movies and reality content for Binge and Foxtel subscribers in Australia from 2028.

The new agreement, will continue to give BINGE and Foxtel subscribers exclusive access in Australia to first-run scripted programming from Sky Studios, as well as Universal Studio Group (USG)-produced series for Peacock.

Also included in the partnership extension is Pay-1 movies, the largest collection of seasons in the Law & Order brand in Australia, dedicated DreamWorks and Universal TV channels, a true crime channel, new series of popular reality franchises and access to Hayu, through integration on Foxtel set-top boxes.

“This is a landmark moment for Australian entertainment lovers. By securing these sought-after premium rights, we have delivered a supercharged extension that confirms DAZN’s commitment to BINGE and to providing Australians with the best entertainment from around the world,” said Foxtel Group chief executive officer Patrick Delaney.

“NBCUniversal has long been a cornerstone of our entertainment offering. This extension is a landmark, expanded partnership that secures a future slate of highly anticipated content”.

Highlights of the extended partnership include:

  • Exclusive rights in Australia to first-run scripted programming from Sky and USG-produced drama and comedy series for Peacock.
  • An expanded movie library with franchises inclduing Fast and Furious, How to Train Your Dragon, Minions, Bridget Jones, Despicable Me and Jurassic Park.
  • An extensive collection of television shows including The Office, Downton Abbey, Friday Night Lights, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, as well as select seasons of the Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit libraries.
  • Channel Carriage of popular NBCU channel brands Universal TV and DreamWorks and the Universal Crime channel.
  • Reality franchises including new seasons of Below Deck, Below Deck Mediterranean, The Real Housewives of Orange County, among many others.
  • Hayu to join Foxtel’s app offering.

The agreement and content also extend to Foxtel subscribers.
