Mobile specialist Big Mobile, has launched a mobile audio network, Big Audio.

Created through a strategic partnership with Triton Digital & Southern Cross Austereo’s a2x  Digital Audio Exchange, Big Audio incorporates audiences across multiple leading music streaming services and radio broadcasters listening on mobile apps and sites.

The new Big Audio network includes top music sites and apps with around 15 million completed listens per month available on launch, and is estimated to grow to 50 million by the end of the year.

With over 1.5 million Australians streaming music a month (estimated to grow to one in four within a year) and 24 per cent of radio listeners consuming radio through mobile, the Big Audio network offers advertisers the ability to reach a captive audience in a highly intimate, one to one environment.

Graham Christie, CEO and co-founder at Big Mobile said: “Big Mobile has a hard-earned reputation for shifting the market forward. Big Audio delivers brands a high share of voice within a premium clutter free environment, and with the cut-through that radio and streaming audio can uniquely deliver.

“Big Audio is Australia’s first streaming music and radio premium network, which combines seamlessly with our rich media Display, and Big Video platforms.”

Vijay Solanki, head of digital and innovation at Southern Cross Austereo (a2x Australia) said: “The a2x Digital Audio Exchange has grown rapidly since launch with the addition of new audio publishers and great support from clients and agency trading desks.

“We’re proud to partner with Big Mobile on this launch.”
