BCM Urges Fellow Agencies To Help Nepal With #agenciesfornepal

Brisbane-based agency BCM has started a program to raise money for the Nepal earthquake appeal.

A job bag is circulating around the agency so that BCM staff can donate to the Nepal Earthquake relief program.

Agency owners Paul Cornwell and Kevin Moreland have tipped in $1,000 each to get the ball rolling.

“What’s the best way to get something happening in an agency? Set up a job number and get a job bag into the system,” commented agency MD Paul Cornwell.

The BCM team then wondered if other creative agencies, media agencies, and PR agencies etc. could get behind the idea too.

So, ‘Agencies for Nepal’ was created with the hashtag #agenciesfornepal

“We’d love to think that the industry could band together to raise money for this devastated nation. Every agency has a job bag system, so maybe they could each get a job bag moving around their agency collecting donations,” Cornwell added.

Agencies are encouraged to join in and then post photos of their job bag using the hashtag #agenciesfornepal

BCM will be directing funds raised at their agency to CARE Australia, and they’re encouraging other agencies participating to do the same.

“I wonder how much we could raise together if we all got behind this idea,” Cornwell commented.

Joint agency MD Kevin Moreland has only just returned from Nepal a week ago where he trekked to Everest Basecamp.

“Whilst in Nepal I experienced the incredible beauty of this country as well as the beautiful nature of the Nepalese people. I hope we can do our little bit to help with the relief program,” commented Moreland.
