Media strategy consultancy and technology business Audience Precision today announced the promotion of Sundeep ‘Sunny’ Paidipally to head of data science, along with the recruitment of a new research co-ordinator.

Paidpally, who has been with Audience Precision since 2016, initially joined the business as a data analyst, working his way up to the new role, which will see him leading the business’ data science team, helping to use data to build business strategies for clients, and will report to CEO Haydon Bray.

The company has also appointed a new research co-ordinator, Vaibhavi Deshpande, who joins the business from the University of Sydney, where she obtained a Masters in Research – Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.

Deshpande will use her passion for digital media and research to support Audience Precision’s research unit, led by global head of research, Laura Newman.

Commenting on the new appointments, Bray said he was thrilled to promote from within the business, while also welcoming new recruits as they embark on their careers.

“This is a really exciting time for Audience Precision, as we continue to expand our team, while also celebrating the rise of one of our long-standing people. Sunny has been with the business for six years and has been an integral part of our success. Unlike a lot of companies, our data science team is at the centre of our business and lead many of the initiatives we have created for our global expansion. Sunny’s intimate knowledge of the business, the team and its capabilities put him in good stead to lead our data science division,” he said.

Commenting on his new role, Paidpally said: “I am thrilled to take on this new challenge in my career. I’ve been involved with the business for several years and am passionate about its ability to deliver real results for our clients. I’m looking forward to driving the data team to deliver unique insights, used for building powerful and engaging media strategies using our own proprietary tech stack.”

The new hires come on the back of the appointment of new client partner Monia Montefusco, who joined the business earlier this month to manage key accounts including non-alcoholic brand Lyres and retailer RM Williams.

The new appointments are effective immediately.
