Amnet Appoints Richard Wheeler As GM NSW & QLD

Amnet, the programmatic agency for Dentsu Aegis Network, has appointed Richard Wheeler as General Manager, NSW and QLD.

Amnet specialise in programmatic buying and the planning, analysis and activation of audience data, with more than 75 people across Australia and New Zealand.

Wheeler joins Amnet from Group M’s Xaxis, where he was Commercial General Manager. He has worked with Mediacom, OMD, MEC and PHD across Sydney and London throughout his career, with a focus on leveraging data and technology to benefit clients.

Amnet managing director Indy Khabra said: “I’m delighted to welcome Richard to our team. His experience across data, technology and innovation will be a great asset to Amnet and is line with the ambitions we have to continue our strong growth trajectory in the year ahead. Richard is a great leader and will be a valuable asset to our growing Amnet family and the clients and agencies of Dentsu Aegis Network.”

As incoming GM at Amnet, Wheeler will be responsible for driving integrated solutions and digital advertising products for the media businesses within the Dentsu Aegis Network. He will actively manage technology, media and data partnerships, ensuring Amnet have the best partnerships in place while driving operational efficiencies and optimal delivery. The General Manager role was previously held by Indy Khabra, who was promoted to Managing Director of Amnet in September.
