ALDI’s partnership with on-demand delivery service DoorDash is receiving an upgrade. From Wednesday 7 January, Victorian shoppers will be the first in the country to have access to ALDI’s range of Special Buys products via DoorDash.
While ALDI’s Special Buys availability on DoorDash will first launch in Victoria, it will roll out to most ALDI locations across Australia from Wednesday 21 January.
The announcement follows the launch of ALDI’s partnership with DoorDash in 2025, which provided a delivery option for Aussies to order ALDI’s fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood, dairy, bread and household products direct to their door for the first time.
Just like in store, ALDI’s Special Buys range will drop on the DoorDash app on Wednesdays and Saturdays and will be available for a limited time only, while stocks last.
Pre-ordering for Special Buys products on DoorDash will not be available.
Special Buys products will feature on the ALDI storefront on the DoorDash app under the new ALDI only category “Special Buys”. Each Special Buys item on the platform will also feature a distinct “Special Buys” badge.
“Our partnership with DoorDash has been a game changer for shoppers. It has given them greater access to our Good Different shopping experience, direct to their doors through the tap of an app. Our ALDI Special Buys have become almost ritualistic to some shoppers, who mark their calendars and scour our catalogues regularly for products they will certainly be excited about,” Simon Padovani-Ginies, group director at ALDI Australia said.
“ALDI’s famous middle aisle and its unique products have long drawn shoppers to ALDI stores on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, thanks to its wide range of high-quality and limited-time products at great value across a variety of categories. Now these products will be conveniently available to customers for the first time ever, through on-demand delivery, thanks to DoorDash,” Simon Rossi, vice president DoorDash APAC added.
