Akcelo Launches London Office As Global Expansion Accelerates

HasAustralian brand experience and innovation agency Akcelo has officially launched its first permanent London office, marking a major milestone in the agency’s international growth strategy and reinforcing its commitment to servicing increasing client demand across Europe.

The new office, based in Farringdon, represents the next chapter in Akcelo’s independent global expansion model and follows a string of new business wins across the UK and EMEA region. The launch also strengthens the agency’s evolving “Borderless” operating model, designed to connect talent, creative, CX and technology capabilities seamlessly across markets.

While Akcelo has previously delivered work for UK and European clients through its global network and specialist teams operating in-market, the London office establishes a permanent local presence for the first time, enabling the agency to deepen client partnerships on the ground and further scale its integrated offering internationally.

The London leadership team includes Strategy Partner Ben Phillips, Business Lead Jade Fonteneau, and Creative Leads Mike Gethin and Justin Schoenmaker. The team will report into Global CEO Aden Hepburn, Global Executive Creative Director Louise McQuat, and Global Client Partner Will Flood as part of the agency’s connected global leadership structure.

Phillips joins from VCCP, where he worked across major global brands including Cadbury, Domino’s and Barclays, following previous roles at Anomaly, Mekanism
and R/GA. Gethin rejoins Akcelo after a stint at Xpedition, having previously worked with agencies including Deutsch LA, The&Partnership and VaynerMedia.

Akcelo plans to significantly grow its London operation over the next 12 to 18 months, with ambitions to hire between 10 and 20 additional staff as the agency continues to scale its UK and European presence.

Positioning itself at the forefront of modern marketing, Akcelo combines creative, customer experience and technology capabilities into a unified offering designed to deliver culturally driven, business-impacting work across markets.

The agency has become known for delivering integrated campaigns spanning brand platforms, social campaigns, immersive activations and retail experiences.

“We’ve always landed ourselves where our clients need us most, so establishing Akcelo in London allows us to better support our client partners in the UK and across EMEA while tapping into an incredible pool of talent in one of the richest creative and commercial hubs in the world,” said Aden Hepburn.

“We built Akcelo to be borderless by design, but having boots on the ground in London will elevate our global offering and better deliver the kind of ambitious, integrated, modern work our clients expect. It’s a very exciting next step for us.”

Akcelo now has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Vancouver, Los Angeles and London.
