Adobe Firefly audio capabilities are now generally available for all users, including Generate Music, Generate Speak and Generate Sound Effects.
The tools allow users to generate music, voiceovers and sound effects within Adobe Firefly.
The update has followed Adobe’s June announcement of new Firefly capabilities, including additional skills in Firefly AI Assistant and an early release of Elements, which allowed users to save characters, locations and objects and reuse them across multiple projects.
Generate Music, powered by Adobe’s Firefly Music Model, creates original music based on a video’s mood and length. The tracks are universally licensed and can be used commercially.
Generate Speech, powered by the Firefly Speech Model, converts scripts into voiceovers with controls for voice, pacing and emotion. Users can also select ElevenLabs as an alternative model.
Generate Sound Effects, powered by Adobe’s Firefly Audio Model, creates sound effects based on the action, timing and energy of content.
The launch has followed research from Berklee College of Music, cited by Adobe, which found that 80 per cent of surveyed video creators, musicians and marketers publish video content daily or several times a week. The research also found that every respondent used music in their videos.
“Going back to school and trying to stay consistent as a content creator can get really overwhelming. I love that Adobe Firefly has made my creative process so much easier. Being able to find music that is safe for commercial use and fits my content is such a game changer. What used to take me hours and hours of searching for the right song can now take seconds,” said fashion, beauty and lifestyle creator and Adobe Firefly user, Esther Rehema.
“When I am making content for a brand, there is always the complication of licensing the background music. Using Generate Music I am able to create a soundtrack that is unique to the video I’m making, and it gives me peace of mind because I know the music is safe for commercial use. When I deliver something to a client, I’m putting my name behind the entire project, so being able to create original music for the piece, and feel confident about handing it over, is really important to me,” content creator Madeline Salazar added.
