Nomad and Deepend clean up at AIMIAs

Nomad and Deepend dominated last Friday night’s AIMIA Awards, taking home a total of six gongs for their work with National Parks Wildlife on the Wilderquest – Nature Discovery app.

The app, which encourages children to get out into nature, won Best of the Best, Best Children’s initiative, Best Learning and Education app, Best Application on a Tablet, Best Non Profit initiative and Best Tourism or Travel initiative.

Soap Creative, Mindshare and Ensemble won Best Advertising or Marketing for their work on Cornetto Enigma, while SBS Online and Fluency won Best Cross-Platform initiative for Go Back to Where You Came From.

SBS Online also won for Best Cultural or Lifestyle for The Block and Best Use of Video, while Freelancer.com.au won Best Enterprise.

ABC TV won Best Entertainment for ABC iView, and best application on a mobile for the ABC iView iPhone app (won in conjunction with Apple).

Vivant Digital, The White Agency and The Commonwealth Bank won Best Financial Service, the Innovation Award and the Effectiveness Award for CommBank Kaching.

Ogilvy Melbourne, Bank of Melbourne, Herald Sun and Mediacom won Best Integration with an Offline Campaign for Bank of Melbourne’s ‘The local project’.

Clemenger BBDO Sydney, Webling Interactive and Hungry Jack’s won Best Mobile Advertising or Marketing for the Hungry Jacks app, while Guerilla Digital and Eatlove won Best Publisher for Eatlove social platform.

Visual Jazz Isobar and JB HiFi won Best Retail and Online Commerce for JB HiFi Now, while Outware Mobile, Heritage Victoria and the Department of Planning and Community Development won Best Government interactive initiative for Vic Heritage.

Foxtel won Best Sport for the Foxtel London 2012 app, while Whybin\TBWA Group Digital Arts Network won Best Use of Social Media for Red Bull Beat Suite.

Jennifer Wilson, director of The Project Factory won the award for Oustanding Contribution.

The evening was hosted by comedians Kitty Flanagan and Steve Philp with opening speeches by AIMIA president Tim O’Neill and CEO John Butterworth.
