Netherlands-born Robbert Rietbroek has joined Kimberly-Clark Australia and New Zealand as vice president and managing director.

Rietbroek (pictured) replaces Scott Usitalo, who has been promoted to run the company’s US Family Care business and is relocating to Wisconsin.

The new local MD, who is a US citizen, joined Kimberly-Clark from Procter & Gamble in 2012 as global vice president for baby and childcare, leading brands including Huggies and Pull-ups.

Previously, he was with P&G for 16 years.

Tony Palmer, president of global brands and innovation at Kimberly-Clark, said: “Robbert brings a great deal of experience leading businesses and building leading brands in different markets all over the world.”

Rietbroek said: “I’m passionate about leadership at all levels, building sustainable, winning brand franchises and creating the right balance between global scale and competing locally. I’m also motivated by surrounding myself with talented and diverse people so it’s really exciting to be leading this great team here in Australia and New Zealand.”
