GPY&R:Best of luck Havas, 'you'll need it'

Following the loss of the Defence Force to Havas last Friday, GPY&R have taken out a “vacancy” ad in today’s Australian Financial Review.

However the marketing and communication firm are not hiring. Instead they have placed the roughly half-page ad on page 36 to let other companies know they now have the room to take on another client.

The ad this morning read how they were proud of losing their client “because we can now offer our brand of brilliant, modern advertising to someone new”.

The ad tells CEOs and Marketing Directors to “expect a call soon”. GPY&R congratulated Havas for the win: "Congratulations and best of luck. You'll need it. You have big shoes to fill."

Havas won the long held client from GPY&R following a competitive pitch last Friday.
