ZOO Advertising Acquires Digital Agency Spring In Alaska

ZOO Advertising Sydney has strengthened its digital capabilities with the acquisition of digital and branding agency, Spring In Alaska.

An Official Honoree in the 2014 Webby Awards, Spring in Alaska has been recognised on many occasions for their exceptional work produced since 2002. Their strong client list includes Woolworths, Kimberly Clark, Cancer Council, University of Sydney and ABC Classic FM.

Managing Director of ZOO Sydney, Simon Cubbin, said, “In January 2014 we responded to our clients feedback to provide cutting edge creative work that can bring brands to life and help them cut through the noise in the digital world. To do this we needed to do much more that contract freelance work or simply contract specialists.

“Over the last 12 months we’ve talked with many agencies with the specific aim of finding one that represented an absolute desire to do great work, as well as being a perfect cultural fit and adept in their field. The combination of these things was so important to us, and we’re so thrilled with the end result.”

Having worked closely over the last six months, 2015 has seen ZOO and Spring in Alaska merge.

Simon Cubbin says, “We’re very excited to have the Spring in Alaska team join ZOO in 2015. Not only do they do unique work that our clients are happy with, but they’re also lovely, intelligent people. Having a specialised digital and branding team on board means that we are now a stronger full service agency, which will benefit our current and future clients immensely”.

After several client wins towards the end of 2014, this acquisition gives the agency a fantastic springboard into the new year.
