The annual Wimbledon tennis tournament might be nestled away in the UK, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a global event.
With the 2021 fixture getting underway next week, the All England Lawn Tennis Club has launched a new campaign celebrating the way in which Wimbledon has been able to transcend borders over the years.
Created by McCann London, ‘It’s a Wimbledon Thing’ takes us right around the globe, with shots of viewers enjoying the tournament across Asia, the US and UK.
There’s even a cheeky nod to tennis great John McEnroe (and Wimbledon’s famous strawberries and cream).

The campaign also comes with the #WimbledonThing hashtag, which will be rolled out over social media during the tournament as a way to encourage viewers to show how they are watching the tennis.
