Musician and heartthrob Harry Styles has announced his new album, “Harry’s Home!” and Cue the screaming women! But now Grindr has stolen the show.
Now, it’s pretty standard these days for businesses and apps to tweet and insert themselves into pop culture moments, like when Taylor Swift announced a new EP called, The Last Great American Dynasty and American diner chain Denny’s replied with, “weird way to spell diner, but okay.”

So, when Style’s announced his new album via Twitter, Spotify replied with, “In this house, we love Harry Styles,” cute but it’s gay hookup app Grindr that really left a mark.
Grinder replied, “When he can host.”
Simple, camp, fun and genius!
when he can host 😍

‘Hosting’ is a popular term used on the app. So when two people match, they’ll often ask who has an available house to visit, and they’ll say, “can you host?” or sometimes they’ll just put in their profile bios, I can host, or I can’t host – it’s hookup slang.
Basically, it’s a genius remark, and Twitter immediately noticed, the comment had received over 12 thousand likes.
Grindr didn’t stop there. It also posted this hilarious meme.
me pretending to be a lamp in harry's house so i can be in the same room as him https://t.co/4SWyFRYAgG

Ultimately it’s clever, and fun marketing for Grindr to be inserting itself into the hysteria around Style’s new album.
Bravo!
