Wednesday TV Wrap: Was Australia Simply Tired Of Gary, Matt & George? MasterChef Hits 1M For Third Night

MasterChef has hit over a million for its third consecutive night, with 1.03m Aussies tuning in, according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Was the Australian collective simply tired of Gary, Matt, and George? Or is it the star power of much-loved contestants returning to the kitchen? Either way, no doubt Network 10 is cheering.

Nine took the crown across all channels with 25.7 per cent, 10 did 24.4 per cent, Seven did 21.7 per cent, ABC did 19.8 per cent and SBS did 8.4 per cent.

Here’s how the rest of the night ran:

Nine

News did 1.09m, ACA did 735,000, Hot Seat did 603,000 and Paramedics did 522,000.

10

The Project did 667,000 and 10 News First did 512,000.

Seven

News did 1.31m, The Chase did 692,000 and Home & Away did 657,000.

ABC

News did 951,000, 7.30 did 752,000, Hard Quiz did 733,000 Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell did 675,000, and You Can’t Ask That did 484,000.

Primary channel share

Nine did 17.8 per cent, 10 did 16.9 per cent while Seven enjoyed 13.7 per cent. ABC did 15.0 per and SBS did 4.3 per cent.

  1. 10 – 29.2 per cent
  2. Nine – 25.8 per cent

  1. 10 –  33.1 per cent
