Wednesday TV Wrap: Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell Beats Shaun Micallef’s Talkin’ Bout Your Generation

Wednesday night is Shaun Micallef night, with the veteran comic appearing on both Nine and the ABC at virtually the same time.

However, it was his work on Aunty that won bragging rights. Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (569,000) beating Nine’s Talkin’ Bout Your Generation (479,000) according to overnight OzTAM numbers.

Meanwhile, MasterChef regained the ascendency with 752,000, while the ABC’s Anh’s Brush With Fame dipped a little to 641,000.

Seven won Wednesday with 26.5 per cent of the audience share (all channels). Nine had 25.5 per cent, 10 did 23.7 per cent, the ABC did 16.9 per cent and SBS did 7.4 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 1.094 million viewers. Other highlights for the network included Home And Away (673,000), The Chase (656,000), The Front Bar (405,000) and Super Switch (328,000).

MasterChef aside, 10 did well with Five Bedrooms (519,000), The Project (465,000) and 10 News First (407,000).

Nine did well with its 6pm news (915,000), ACA (723,000) and Hot Sear (533,000).

Other doers for the ABC included its 7pm news (647,000) and 7.30 (529.000).
