The ABC’s Wednesday night comedy coupling of Hard Quiz and The Weekly With Charlie Pickering continues to rate over its more fancied FTA arrivals.
The Tom Gleeson-led Hard Quiz nabbed 547,000 viewers last night, while Mr Pickering’s show wasn’t far behind with 526,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers.
The was more than 10’s MasterChef (498,000), Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice (415,000) and Seven’s spluttering Big Brother (323,000)
Nine still hung on for a Wednesday night win with 28.4 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Seven had to settle for second and 24.4 per cent. 10 grabbed third and 19.3 per cent. The ABC did 18.8 per cent and SBS was dangerously close to double figures with 9.1 per cent.
Seven’s news was the most watched show of the night grabbing 998,000. Nine’s bulletin did 857,000 and ACA had 596,000.
Other standouts for Seven included The Chase (574,000) and Home And Away (490,000).
Nine did well with Hot Seat (432,000) and a repeat of Travel Guides (351,000).
Over at 10, The Project had 384,000 and 10 News First pulled 362,000.
Comedy aside, the ABC’s evening went this way: 7pm news (662,000), 7.30 (563,000) and You Can’t Ask That (320,000).
