Wednesday TV Wrap: Hard Quiz And Travel Guides Top Entertainment Ratings

ABC’s Hard Quiz and Nine’s Travel Guides were the best performing entertainment shows of Wednesday night according to OzTAM’s metro data, beating Big Brother and MasterChef.

Hard Quiz was number one with 636,000 viewers, followed by Travel Guides – which spotlighted Vietnam and Cambodia – which had 631,000.

The Australian appetites for current affairs and international travel clearly can’t be beaten!

Top of the pack overall was Seven News, which had 1,024,000 viewers, followed by Nine News which had 954,000. Then was A Current Affair with 706,000 while ABC News came in after Hard Quiz and Travel Guides at 594,000.

Next in the entertainment ratings was Home and Away, followed by Big Brother – both on the Seven Network. They had 591,000 and 562,000 viewers respectively.

MasterChef was beaten by The Chase and ABC’s 7.30. The Chase had 557,000 viewers, 7.30 had 515,000 and MasterChef had 513,000.

The rest of the ABC’s night saw The Weekly With Charlie Pickering scored 488,000 viewers while You Can’t Ask That had 359,000.

For Nine, Hot Seat had 480,000 viewers and Doctor Doctor had 353,000.

Over at 10, The Project had 419,000 viewers and 10 News First had 358,000.

Nine (all channels) won the night overall with 28 per cent of the daily share, while Seven (all channels) came second with 26 per cent. Next was Network 10, which had 19 per cent, followed by the ABC TV Network which had 17 per cent and the SBS Network with eight per cent.
