After 12 exhausting years, The Big Bang Theory finally enjoyed its finale last night, posting 781,000 viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers.
Nine’s claiming it as the highest rating comedy of 2019, however, 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention? might have something to say about that.
On the back of Bang, Nine won Wednesday with 30.3 per cent of the audience share (all channels). Seven did 25.4 per cent, 10 had 20.5 per cent, the ABC pulled 16.3 per cent and SBS managed 7.5 per cent.
Seven had the top rating show of the night, its 6pm news pulling 1.043 million. Other standouts for the network included The Chase (645,000), Home And Away ( 621,000) and Border Security (459,000).
In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (253,000) topped Today (203,000).
10 did well with MasterChef (654,000), Five Bedrooms (476,000), The Project (456,000) and 10 News First (396,000).
Nine’s other doers were its 6pm news (896,000), ACA (750,000), Hot Seat (527,000) and Young Sheldon (439,000).
The ABC’s night ran this way: 7pm news (623,000), Anh’s Brush With Fame (599,000), Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (577,000), 7.30 (527,000) and The Letdown (275,000).
Over at the SBS, 24 Hours In Emergency was its highlight, posting 210,000.
